Senior Engineer - Design (4 - 10 yrs.)

System Architecture & Design Lead the electrical design of HV battery packs including cell interconnects, busbars, contactors, fuses, and insulation systems. Develop and validate schematics, wiring harnesses, and PCB layouts for Battery Management Systems (BMS), current sensors, and voltage monitoring circuits. Define system-level electrical architecture including HV and LV interfaces, isolation strategies, and grounding schemes. Component Selection & Integration Select and integrate key components such as relays, connectors, current sensors, pre-charge circuits, and HV disconnects. Collaborate with thermal and mechanical teams to ensure optimal packaging and cooling of electrical components. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with automotive and industrial safety standards (e. g. , ISO 26262, IEC 60664, UL 2580, ASIL). Conduct DFMEA and risk assessments for electrical systems and components. Implement robust insulation coordination and creepage/clearance analysis for HV systems. Testing & Validation Develop and execute electrical validation plans including HV insulation testing, continuity checks, and fault injection. Support EMC/EMI testing and mitigation strategies. Analyse test data and lead root cause investigations for electrical failures. Project Leadership & Collaboration Coordinate with BMS software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration and production readiness.
