Contemporary Indian artist Buwa Shete is known for dreamy paintings that capture moments of love, hope and serenity. With scenes set in backgrounds of pure color punctuated by clouds, one of his most popular recurring themes is mother and child. His distinct color palette comprises bright red, deep blues and earth tones.
Buwa Shete studied Applied Arts at Abhinav Kala. He won an award at the National Exhibition of Young Painters in Kolkata, which was organized by esteemed modernist M.F. Husain. Shete has shown his work in group and solo exhibitions across India.
