Kala Sangam's prestigious music presentation The Music Summit 2016 will showcase different genres of music and dance. Artists from different regions have been invited to perform for a discerning Mumbai audience. The concert will have performances for three days, presenting: Odissi dance by Sujata Mohpatra, Daughter-in-Law of the doyen - Kelucharan Mohapatra. This will be followed by a Dance Jugalbandi between two versatile and dynamic dancers - Rajendra Gangani (kathak) and Sathyanarayana Raju (bharatnatyam). The second day there will be two Maestros - Pandit Venkatesh Kumar (vocal) form the Gwalior Gharana followed by Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia in a Flute Recital. On the third Day, Lakhwinder Wadali, son of Puranchan Wadali of the Wadali Brotheres Fame who is now making waves in Sufuyana Kalaam will be performing. He is a great sensation from Punjab today. The artists will be coming from Bhuvaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Dharwad, Ludhiana and Mumbai. This is a great opportunity for the Mumbai Audience as well the Artists. This meets with the objective of the organisers, of presenting and promoting Indian Classical music and dance.
